We are pleased to announce that the Circular Economy Pathways for the Energy Transition project was presented during the expert conference “Shaping Change: Anchoring Sustainability in Adult Education Institutions”, held on March 27th, 2025 in Bremen, Germany.
Organized by the European Agenda for Adult Learning and the Senator for Children and Education of Bremen, the event brought together educators, policymakers, and sustainability practitioners from Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries. The conference focused on how sustainability can be holistically implemented in adult education through the Whole Institution Approach (WIA), touching on topics such as organizational change, communication, and the digital–green nexus.
As part of the conference's project fair, Dr. Andreas Saniter and Myrthe Reinsberg from the Institute of Technology and Education (ITB), University of Bremen, presented the Circular Economy Pathways project. The Erasmus+ initiative, involving partners from Poland, Portugal, Turkey, and Italy, develops training materials and resources aimed at integrating circular economy principles into energy transition strategies within adult education settings.
The presentation drew strong interest, especially from participants seeking practical tools to support sustainability in vocational training and lifelong learning. The project’s alignment with the event’s focus on whole-institution transformation further underscored its relevance and potential for impact.
We thank the organizers of the Bremen conference for the opportunity to present our project and connect with a network committed to driving educational and environmental transformation across Europe.
